Enjoying the fuck out of Fergus Miller. Each song draws me in more and more.

I could just melt lounging in the sun, listening to Anika.

I feel so out of the loop for not hearing about Mathieu Santos’ (Ra Ra Riot’s bassist) side project. Apparently, the songs from his album Massachusetts were written when Ra Ra Riot was recording The Orchard in Massachusetts. Bravo Mr. Santos, your album brightened up my day.

Mathieu Santos “I Can Hear The Trains Coming”

I now have the crush on Papu Sebastián’s voice. Can we do an indie rock exchange program with Spain?

Polock “Sometimes”

Dear Jaill,
Y u tease me with release of song when album is three months away?

Jaill “Waste a Lot of Things”

Not typically into electronic music but I’ve gotta say I liked this.

C2C “F·U·Y·A”

With just a little over a week until the release of Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose, I am excited to get a copy of the album a tad bit early. Here’s a taste of what is to come.

Beth Jeans Houghton “Sweet Tooth Bird”

The other night, while my friend was attempting to convince me to go to Bonnaroo (primarily by showing me the recently announced line-up), I was pleasantly surprised to see Grouplove was announced in this first batch of performers. I think I’ve quite possibly played the shit out of this song for the past year or so, without ever tiring of it. Plus, its a solid music video.

Grouplove “Colours”

Saw Slow Club last night at DC9, on their first tour of the United States. They were fantastic despite Rebecca being under the weather. Though I must say I was horribly disappointed that they absolutely would not indulge their long time fans with any of their old songs (even when requested). This is especially disappointing since those state side have not had the opportunity to see them perform these songs ever before. So, here is an old song to make up for it.

Slow Club “Because We’re Dead”

The Tallest Man on Earth “Little Brother”

Kristian Matsson performing a new song, live in Cape Town at the CTICC 10 February 2012.
